In Kenya, we have several suppliers for our herbs. In vast landscapes lie the farms of our herbs. Thanks to Kenya's suitable climate, it is possible to grow all herbs. It is also possible to obtain large volumes of different herb species. In addition, it is possible for our suppliers to produce and deliver year-round.
The process of Kenyan herbs
The process continues year-round at different locations in Kenya, at Kraaijeveld and at our customers. It starts with harvesting the fresh herbs, which are stored and refrigerated back to extend their shelf life. Then the herbs are packed, in different packages and possibly with label and barcode. At the airport, the herbs are stored and approved again just before they leave. At Schiphol Airport, the herbs are received by our partner and transported to Kraaijeveld, where they are once again inspected to ensure the quality is good!
Kenyan herbs for you, the customer
The herbs from Kenya are all suitable for our three target groups. For our gastronomy customers, the herbs are available in our digital platform, on mix pallets and in desired quantities. For processing customers, the herbs are available loose or bundled. These herbs are also available for processing in desired quantities and online. For our retail customers, the herbs are also available in different weights, packaging with and without a label. In Kenya we support the local population with Kraaijeveld Cares. In Kenya clean drinking water is not always self-evident. We started a local project in which we also want to support the population around our suppliers, so that clean drinking water is also accessible for them.
